Insurance: (provided all the personal information supplied is correct)
The vehicle is insured for damage to the vehicle and the property of a third party; but does not provide any personal insurance for the customer (including death or bodily injury to the driver) or cover any personal possessions. The Vehicle insurance is provided By Liverpool Victoria. The hire rate quoted includes the standard excess of GB£1000.00. In the event of any damage to either the vehicle or third party property the hirer will be liable for the first GB£1000.00. The hirer will also be fully liable for all overhead damage, any damage deemed as gross negligence and replacement or repair of windows and windscreens or tyre damage.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW):
Collision damage waiver at £15.00 per day will reduce the £1000 excess for damage caused due to a collision (i.e reported accident) to either the vehicle or third party property to £500.00. The hirer however will be fully liable for any Overhead damage, replacement or repair to windows and windscreen, tyre damage costs or damage costs caused through gross negligence. Applies in respect of each incident or claim, not each rental. Minimum term for CDW is 4 Days. Should the terms and conditions not be adhered to, the CDW will be void and the customer will be liable in full for a costs and damages. Please note that the CDW is completely optional and can be decided upon collection of your vehicle. After the hire has commenced CDW cannot be taken out.
Overhead Damage:
All drivers must be aware of the (unusual) height of the Motorhome and are responsible for all damage if driven under an obstruction that is too low for it to clear – the obvious examples are low bridges and height restrictions into car parks etc. In this event neither the Basic Insurance nor the Collision Damage Waiver will apply and the hirer will be responsible for the repair of all damages. Overhead damage is deemed as damage to any part of the vehicle which occurs above 6FT (1.83 metres) and or any third party property.
Admin Charges:
Should Amber Leisure receive penalty notices for speeding, parking fines or congestion charges then an administration fee of £25.00 will be added to the charge to cover all administration and postage costs.
