Q. What is the minimum
age for rental:
A. 25 years is the minimum /
70 years is the maximum. If you are outside of these limits,
let us know. You may still be allowed to rent a vehicle for
a higher excess. You must have held a licence for a minimum
of 3 years.
Q.How many drivers
are included:
A. One
additional driver is included free.
Q.When are the
depots open:
A. Pick
up Mon – Sat 1400 /
Drop off Mon – Sat 1100
Sunday may be available for an
additional fee of £88.
Q. Minimum rental:
A. October – April
: 4 days |
May – September : 7 days |
23 December – 02 January – 10 days
Q. Do I need to
leave a security deposit:
A. The
excess amount is required as a deposit when you pick up the
vehicle. For the UK this is £500 + Tax. If you are taking
the vehicle into Europe the excess is £1000 + Tax.
Q. Can I bring my
pets:
A. Sorry
but no pets are allowed.
Q. Can I tow anything
or store things on the roof:
A. No. The Motorhomes are not
equipped for towing or for carrying things on the roof.
Q. Can
I take the Motorhome into Eastern Europe:
A. Please advise us if you wish
to travel into Eastern Europe.
Q. Are
any one way journeys allowed:
A. Yes.
Between the Southend on Sea and Glasgow depots for a one way
fee of £300 + Tax (either direction.) Other one ways
may be available on request.
Q. Can
I leave my car at the depot:
A. This can be requested, and
is generally available free of charge. Your car is left at
your own risk.
Q. Are
there any Automatic Transmission Motorhomes:
A. Yes. Some 4 and 7 berth vehicles
have been set aside as Auto. Please request, limited availability.
Q. What
kind of Insurance coverage is provided:
A. Limited
Liability Insurance is included in the Daily Rates. This limits
the excess liability
to £500 + tax per incident in the event of an accident.
When travelling in Europe the excess is £1000 + tax per
incident. However in the event of overhead damage, where the
excess is £2000 + tax per incident.
Insurance does not cover the replacment of damaged tyres and
windows due to mis-use of neglegence, and applies to each claim
- not rental.
Q. Do
I need extra Insurance if I am traveling into Europe:
A. This is mandetory for all
vehicles travelling to Europe / Ireland. For Europe A fee
of £165 for the first two weeks and £47
for each additional week thereafter applies. For Ireland
a fee of £140 per rental applies.
This provides a bail bond for Spain, Green Card and for the
supply of a replacement vehicle or the repatriation to our
depot of the passengers in the event of mechanical malfunction
or accident. The supply of a replacement vehicle is subject
to availability. In case of accident a further ERI premium
is required; whoever is responsible for the accident. The rates
above only cover countries in the European Community, Scandinavia,
Switzerland and Austria. Please advise in good time if you
intend to visit Eastern European countries or North Africa.
