Northern Surcharge:
CAD $300 per rental.
For all travel north of Fort St John on the Alaska Hwy, Cassiar Hwy, into Yukon and Alaska. Northern Rental must be advised at time of booking. We allow northern rentals with Non slide C22, C24 and C26 slide out vehicles. 3 week minimum rental period.

Transfers:
Transfers are included in the Full priced Preparation Fee and the All Inclusive rates.
Pick up transfers take place between 10am and 3pm.

Toronto:
Pick-up at Airport Hotels. Drop-off at Airport or Airport Hotels or Free Transfers to/from Whitby GO Train Station (city train). Downtown Hotel pick up and drop off on Mondays only. Owasco does not provide a baby seat for the transfer, please ensure to bring your own.

Calgary and Vancouver:
Pick-up and drop-off at downtown hotels, Airport Hotels and in Burnaby at teh Accent inn. Drop off at Airport as well. Our traffic especially in Vancouver is unpredictable and we will work closely together with a Taxi Company in order to serve our customers on time.

Skytrain:
Canada Line is here! SkyTrain’s newest line opened August 17, 2009 and brings rapid rail service to Metro Vancouver’s busiest north south corridor, linking Downtown to Richmond and Vancouver International Airport (YVR). The Line connects people to dens of local destinations, including Coquitlam’s “Braid” SkyTrain Station where Go West can easily pick-up and drop-off customers! This is an easy, inexpensive and comfortable way to travel for our customers from and to our location!

Express Pick Up:
To serve our customers faster and better we ask that the following customer information be sent to us at least one week prior to pick-up.

A. Name, address, phone number and credit card number with expiry date of principal driver, email address.

B. Name and driver's licence number of additional driver(s).

C. Name and address of transfer hotel.

Transfer Times are between 10am & 12pm (YVR&YYC between 10 am - 3pm):
RV pick up times are between 10am - 3pm

The client must phone early in the morning or the day before, if they wish to be picked up. The client must pick-up and return the vehicle at Owasco unless otherwise specified. Upon delivery of the vehicle, the client must hold a voucher containing the particulars of the rental: party’s name, reference number, type of vehicle, items prepaid and items to be paid locally.

Orientation:
1. We thoroughly explain the vehicle and appliances to our customers in person with detailed instructions so they will be sure to enjoy their camping trip.

2. We explain the rental contract at which time we will collect for items not prepaid, insurance premium and cleaning security deposit.

3. We give advice on where and how to drive in Canada. An explanation of how to operate the vehicle will be given in English, German, Dutch, Italian or French according to the client’s preference.

4. Our Customers will receive free tour packages, maps and campsite information along with a personal explanation of things to do and see! Free storage of luggage is also provided.

5. A reminder sheet will be given informing you again what to do in case of breakdown or accident, rules and regulations of the road and how to maintain the vehicle to operate the RV safely.
We familiarize our customers personally with our vehicles and if requested, we will take them for a short test drive. We spend 60 minutes on this "hands on" explanation. (NO video!)

Additional Driver:
2 drivers are Free of charge; 3rd driver and more $10 per driver per day

Additional Extras:
Dishes & Cutlery: we always pack 2 extras of each item. Charges will apply for lost or broken equipment. Extras like wine glasses and teapots upon request.

Roadside Assistance:
Customers renting Owasco vehicles, have 24 hour Ford, GM & Mercedes roadside assistance in Canada and the USA. This service does not cover the expenses for non-mechanical difficulties such as running out of gas, cooling fluids or oil, tire and radio problems, air conditioning, losing keys, non functioning of the fridge etc.

There is also a Toll Free emergency phone number where Owasco staff can be reached daily between 8am to 7pm. Owasco does not cover any cost incurred by use of cell phones.

Availability:
If, for any reason, beyond our control the reserved vehicle is not available, Owasco reserves the right to substitute a vehicle of equivalent value, to refund all payments without further liabilities, or offer a higher rated vehicle at no extra cost to the renter. Any subsequent expenses (additional ferry costs, gasoline, etc.) are the renter's responsibility.

Should a lower rated vehicle be offered, Owasco's only obligation is to refund the cost difference between the two vehicles. In the event that the renter refuses to accept the vehicle offered, the renter acknowledges that all payments will be forfeited and he / she will have no further loss or damage against Owasco.

** Important: Always add 2 feet to any vehicle for "ferry bookings".

Renters Responsibility:
Every renter must have a valid credit card to be able to rent an RV from Owasco. The renter is responsible for the vehicle and will be charged for any misuse or undue care, mechanical damage due to negligence in vehicle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance.

This includes checking engine oil, fluids and coolant levels at each refuelling, as well as reporting mechanical failures immediately. Necessary repairs over CAD $75 require / need prior authorization from our office. Insurance coverage is void by not reporting any damage to Owasco and Insurance Company within 24 hours.

Vehicle pick up and return hours:
The vehicles are generally handed over between 10:00am and 3:00pm and must be returned between 8:00am and 10:00am. No pick ups or drop offs after 3:00pm. Late returns will be charged an extra CAD $50 per hour and our transfer to the hotel will be void. No refunds for early return!

Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Sunday and Public Holidays: Closed

Pick up times:
Pick up is available between 10:00am and 3:00pm. No pick up's after 3:00pm

Drop Off times:
Drop off is available between 8:00am and 10:00am. No Drop offs after 3pm. For vehicle returned late, late fees of $50 per hour will apply and return transfers will be void.

Security Deposit:

With VIP Insurance: Blank Credit Card Imprint
A blank signed credit card imprint will be taken for all reservations.

Insurance Details:
Go West maintains liability coverage on all its rental vehicles to a maximum of CAD $5,000,000 for any bodily injury and property damage liability claims arising from the operation or use of its rental vehicles.

Premiums for this basic public liability coverage are included in all rental rates, which also include premiums for collision insurance and comprehensive insurance (CDR) with a deductible of CAD $1,500 per occurrence. All coverage and waivers are subject to the express terms of the rental contract and of the applicable motor vehicle insurance contract.

Customer's Responsibility:
In the event of loss or damage to vehicle while on rental, whether or not due to the fault of the rental customer, the customer's responsibility for direct and accidental loss or damage to the vehicle is limited to a maximum of CAD $1,500 per occurrence. There is no limit however if vehicle incurs loss or damage not covered by the insurance as outlined in the insurance table below.

Security Deposits:
At time of rental we take a signed Credit Card Imprint only. Security Deposits are refundable upon vehicle’s check-in if it has been returned: On time, un-damaged, clean, equipment complete, holding tanks empty and gas tank full. Deposits given by charge – credit cards, will be refunded by same. A total deposit of CAD $1,650 (CAD $1,750 A Class) will be collected upon vehicle pick up!

US Border Crossing:
Traveling into the United States is allowed at no extra costs.

Travel Restrictions:
Vehicle are NOT permitted to travel on Dempster Hwy, Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Mexico or Death Valley. Alaska and Yukon, Cassiar Hwy, Alaska Hwy only with Northern Surcharge (conditions apply). RVs are not permitted on roads designated on the official provincial or state maps as "other roads - gravel or dirt".

Breakdown and Repairs:
The customer acknowledges the possibility of a mechanical failure or breakdown, and acknowledges that such occurrence is an inherent contingency associated with the operation of the vehicle, and that such contingency is beyond the control of Owasco. The customer agrees to hold Owasco harmless from and against any loss of time, transportation costs, inconvenience, and loss of food in the vehicle, and any and all expenses resulting from such contingency in the event of a mechanical failure or breakdown.

Owasco will make all reasonable efforts to assist the customer to obtain help or arrange for repairs, subject to the location of the vehicle and business hours of the repair facilities.

Owasco is not responsible for hotel charges, car rental or any other incidental or consequential costs in the event of a breakdown. Within 24 hours. a report to Owasco / Insurance Company and/or Police must be filed in case of an accident, any damage to vehicle, vandalism, fire or theft, otherwise insurance is null and void.

The following are not covered if damages are caused by:

Self Caused Accidents:
Owasco reserves the right to deny replacing the vehicle depending on the cause of accident and our availability.

Drivers - Age Requirements:
Minimum age: 21 years
Maximum age: 75 years

Cleaning deposit:
CAD $150 (CAD $250 for A Class Vehicles) - is processed at time of rental and refunded upon return of clean unit.

NO Smoking is allowed in any of the vehicles.
NO Pets / Animals allowed.
 
Cleaning charges apply if rules are broken or the vehicle is returned unclean.
CAD $500 smoking / pets.
CAD $75 per hour inside / outside cleaning.
CAD $25 dumping per tank.
CAD $75 fuel refill service fee + fuel costs.

Shortening of Rental Period:
If a renter shortens their hire period by more than a week - it may be treated as a cancellation of the whole booking and a re-booking. This depends on when the amendment takes place and how many days of hire are being cancelled. Please ensure you always have travel insurance in place.

Changes and Cancellation Fees:
No fee if cancelled within 3 days of request.
First change no charge, CAD $50 for each additional change.

Up to 30 days before pick up: CAD $250 + taxes
30 - 16 days before pick up: 70% of rental charges + taxes
15 - 1 days before pick up: 85% of rental charges + taxes
No show : 100% of rental charges + taxes
