Petroleum (DIESEL) is not included in the price. Diesel tank is full at the pick-up and it has to be returned full. Clients can choose to purchase a refueling service if they wish to return a vehicle with unfilled diesel tank.

Fuel Purchase Option
Touring Cars rentals commence with a full tank of diesel. A refueling charge of NOK 300 + NOK 25 per liter will be applied to a rental if a vehicle is returned
with less than a full tank of diesel. Client may also choose the Fuel Purchase Option. Fuel
Purchase Option is available at the time of rental and allows clients to return vehicle without
refueling diesel tank.
Total cost is based on self-service diesel price in the area and NOK 300 surcharge. This option allows a client the convenience of not having to refuel the vehicle
prior to returning. |

Depot Hours:
Pick up is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Rental stations are open 08:00 to 18:00 by appointment only.
Any pick up / drop off between 18:00hrs and 08:00hrs will incur an additional fee of NOK 1,800
except Keflavik office, where pick up and drop off cannot be scheduled 18:00 to 08:00.

If you drop off later than you specified return time, you are subject to a fee of NOK 500 for each hour that you are late. The Client has to give a minimum 24 hour notice of being late or the surcharge will be issued. However, it is essential to confirm any changes in the scheduled service times with Touring Cars. In addition to above mentioned fee, Touring Cars may charge monetary losses from the client, if the client returns the vehicle later then scheduled and if this delays the next rental of the rental vehicle.
To avoid frost damages to the motorhome the client will be responsible to make sure that the rental vehicle is heated properly at all times. Especially water system is sensitive to damages during extreme cold temperatures. Additional information on driving in winter conditions is given at the pickup.
Winter tires are always included in rental rates. Rental stations will equip the motorhomes with the correct tire set according to the local legislation requirements.
One Way Fees:
One-way rentals enable picking up the motorhome in one of our rental stations and returning
the vehicle to another rental station or selected one-way destination. One-way rental is a
magnificient opportunity to explore even the remotest corners and sights. One-way rentals
always include two gas bottles and priority rental check-out with post rental check-up.

These locations are available only as one-way rentals. Touring Cars does not have rental stations in these destinations. Moreover, Pick-up has to be in one of our main rental stations. Clients who wish to book one-way rentals to any of the listed one-way locations are required to sign one deductible for Touring Cars and agree for a post rental check-up. During post rental check-up the motorhome condition is inspected after the clients have returned the motorhome to the agreed drop off location and have already departed. After the post rental check-up, Touring Cars will refund the deductible if there are no new damages on the vehicle.
Insurance Coverage:
The insurance coverage is divided into two different parts: a compulsory and collision insurance. The compulsory insurance covers all the damages or accidents to the third party caused by you. The second one is the collision insurance, which covers damages to your own rental vehicle caused by an accident.
Collision insurance covers damages to the vehicle due to an accident, fire or theft. The insurance is NOT valid if the vehicle is being used under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs, or if damage is caused due to reckless behavior . insurance.
The collision insurance does not cover any interior damages that are not caused by a traffic accident.
Client will be given details of the current defects on the damage form. Client is responsible to discover the damages prior of signing the document. Client is liable for all new damages found on the vehicle upon the end of client’s rental period. All new damages, which were not marked on the agreement upon pick-up, will be charged from client. This notice is given for clients’ protection.
All Touring Cars rentals include a TC Basic insurance with corresponding deductible. In a case of an accident caused to the rental vehicle, the client needs to pay maximum the deductible per damage, per accident, per lost items or per punitive sanctions (please see the returning policy). The collision insurance covers the part of the monetary loss, which exceeds deductible value per damage. Insurance deductible does not cover interior damages which are not caused by traffic accident.
The minimum reduction period for lowering deductible is 7 rental days or equivalent monetary payment (10 days in TC Total). All additional drivers need to be named for the insurance for it to be valid. If a non-designated driver drives the rental vehicle TC Basic insurance terms and conditions apply with corresponding deductible value per damage. All other rental and insurance conditions remain the same.
Vehicle insurances are valid only in Touring Cars rental station countries, vehicle cannot be taken abroad without special agreement with Touring Cars.
Touring Cars offers three insurance packages for client to choose from to reduce the amount of deductible.
TC Plus Insurance Option
Will reduce the deductible to NOK 14,000 per damage for a payment of only NOK 115 per rental day.
TC Premium Insurance Option
Costs NOK 210 per rental day and it will reduce the deductible to NOK 7,000 per damage. The minimum reduction period is 7 rental days or equivalent monetary payment. All additional drivers need to be named for the insurance for it to be valid. If a non-designated driver drives the rental vehicle TC Basic insurance terms and conditions apply with a NOK 28,000 deductible per damage. All other rental and insurance conditions remain the same.

Protection against Windshield or Tyre Breakage
Windshield & Tyre Coverage for NOK 95 per day (minimum charge NOK 665) for 0 NOK deductible for one windshield or tyre damage. For second or more damages, repair costs according to normal prices. Deposit according to TC Basic, Plus, Premium or Total policy.
Security Deposit:
- Deposit is required upon departure to ensure that the vehicle is returned in the same condition as it was upon pick-up.
- We will authorize one full deductible from client’s card at pick-up. The client’s credit limit ought to be sufficient to cover the deductible and other purchases that they plan to make during their holiday. Authorization will be cancelled when no new damages are discovered at drop-off.
- All authorized drivers have to present an individual credit card for insurance purposes.
- Credit Card has to be valid minimum 6 months after drop-off. The Credit card’s credit limit must be sufficient for required deposit amount.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Visa and Mastercard.
Authorised Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required for all drivers. The driver must have held a driver’s license for the mimimum requirement specified for each location. In addition, the mimium age requirements must be met in order to enter an agreement between the client and the lessor.
The driver must present an acceptable credit card (debit cards not accepted). All additional drivers must be marked on the rental agreement (additional fee will apply). Renter and each additional authorized driver must be personally present to sign the Rental Agreement.
Tromso - Norway: Minimum driver's age is 25 years / Minimum driving experience is 2 years.
Traveling Outside the Vehicle Collection Country:
Client is obligated to ask for approval from rental station when traveling outside the country where the rental station is located. Outside the rental agreement opening country occured accidents may incur a higher deductible claim from the client. Rental stations hold the right to limit the lowest deductible to TC Plus in case of the motorhome is taken abroad. If customer is planning to visit several countries it is important to contact the rental station in advance and double check the requirement for a green card (additional insurance document).
Touring Cars rental station obtains the green card document, if a client wishes to enter agreed countries. However, an additional insurance document is required. Traveling within the Nordic countries does not require any special attention concerning approval nor green card when a rental vehicle has been collected from one of these countries.
Traveling in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine:
Traveling to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine is not allowed with vehicles rented from rental stations in EU. Traveling to Eastern European countries is allowed for rental vehicles taken from Tallinn and Riga ofices and with a special permission from other rental stations. Special insurance requirements may apply to traveling in Eastern European countries.
Visa Requirements:
Please note that some destination countries may require a visa. The client is responsible for organizing all visa-related matters.

Lost keys? No worries, we will send replacement keys or a locksmith.
- Flat tire
Rental motorhomes are not commonly equipped with a spare tire, but with a 12V compressor kit. Flat tire can be inflated with the compressor and drive the vehicle to the closest repair garage. If a punture is severe then vehicle will be towed to the nearest garage. This is free of charge service if the client has purchased windshield / tyre protection package.
- Towing
If the vehicle is inoperable (unrelated to an accident or fault of driver’s behavior) towing charges will be covered at no additional charge.
- Jump start (additional fee)
A battery boost will be provided in an attempt to start the vehicle.
- Fuel delivery (additional fee)
A limited supply of fuel will be delivered to the vehicle to enable you to reach the nearest open service station. Up to 15 liters.
- Vehicle replacement (additional fees may apply)
In case of severe technical malfunction of the vehicle, through no fault of the customer, Touring Cars will replace the vehicle for the clients with the best possible available alternative vehicle. Vehicle replacement service is subject to availability at all times, and the need for the replacement is asessed and decided by Touring Cars.
Please note: that Road Side Help is available in Touring Cars destination countries only.
Breakdown
The customer is responsible for checking engine oil, luids and coolant levels at each refueling as well as reporting mechanical failures immediately. Instructions and procedures for maintenance expense reimbursement are provided at pickup. Clients may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in vehicle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance.
In the event of the vehicle being in breakdown repair for 24 hours or more, through no fault of the customer, our responsibility to customer is limited to a refund of daily rate or portion thereof. Client is required to take their rental vehicle to the closest repair location instructed by Touring Care Roadside Assistance.
A daily refund will be issued only for the days that a vehicle is broken down due to no fault of a client. No refund will be issued if a client violates the rental agreement. Moreover, Touring Cars will not issue refunds for the whole rental period. Diesel reimbursements will be granted only on severe cases.
Office and Admin Fees
Touring Cars will automatically charge a clients credit card for all parking fines which clients have received during their holiday added with ofice fee/ admin fee. The ofice and admin fees are location specific, and are presented for the clients at the rental station.
Cleaning

Unless the client has purchased a final cleaning package, the vehicle must be returned with an empty waste water tank and an empty lavatory cassette. Also, vehicle has to be moderately clean inside. Failure to comply will entail a cleaning surcharge of NOK 800 per hour (NOK 2,900 per rental).

Smoking is prohibited in the camper, a smoking penalty of NOK 7,000 will apply if this rule is broken.

Pet Cleaning Surcharge - Animals are not allowed in the motorhomes without prior notice. Pet cleaning surcharge of NOK 3,500 will be applied after rental, if the pet cleaning fee has not been booked in advance.
Cancellations & Alterations
In case of cancellation or shortening of confirmed reservations, charges will be invoiced as follows:
- - 30 days or more prior to departure: NOK 2,000
- - 29 days to 22 days prior to departure 30%
- - 21 days to 16 days prior to departure 55%
- - 15 days to 1 day prior to departure 100%
- - Departure day or no-show 100%
If the cancellation is made less than 30 days prior to the departure, the cancellation fee will be minimum NOK 2,000 (or equivalent amount in other currencies) or a percentage of the total amount of an invoice including base charge, rental days, one-way fees, extra items, etc,
There is an invoice update fee of NOK 250 per update requiring manual work after the original invoice is issued.
