Saturday
Pick Up and Drop Off
Pick up and Drop off on a Saturday is available. A fee
of € 65 applied
for each pick up and drop off on a Saturday. Depots are closed on Sundays
and Public Holidays.

Transfers:
As a general rule, McRent do not offer depot transfers. However there are selected
transfers that are available on request as follows:
To / From Mannheim Depot: (prices are per party)
Frankfurt Main Airport: EUR €100 each way
Frankfurt Hahn Airport: EUR €180 each way
To / From
Regensburg Depot:
Munich International Airport: EUR €29 per person (2-6 people), €199
per

(7-8

These transfers must be requested at lease 21 days prior
to pick up.
Late & Early Drop Offs
If the vehicle is returned after the time that was agreed in writing,
we charge €27 for every extra hour or part of an hour (but not more than
the total daily rate for every day late) and pass on any claims for compensation
for damages that may be asserted by the next renter or another person due to
a late receipt of the vehicle.If the vehicle is returned before the
expiration of the agreed rental period - there is no refund for unused days
unless the vehicle can be rented to another party.
Not included:
Fuel and operating costs are to be borne by the renter.
he vehicles are handed over with full fuel tanks and they are to be returned €2.50
per litre of diesel.
Drivers
Age / Licence / Weight of Vehicle:
Minimum age is 21 years, and must have held a full drivers licence for a minimum of 2 years. No maximum age. A higher minimum age of 25 years applies for all Family Luxury & Premium Class Vehicles. For the Premium range - you are required to hold a licence that allows you to drive a vehicle over 3.5 tonnes. Please check vehicle weight and your licence.

UEFA European Championship Special Condition:
Travelling
to the Poland and the Ukraine during this event is
allowed under following special rules:
-
Parking
is only allowed at guarded car parks or camp sites with
an attendant. “Wild” camping is strictly
forbidden in these countries.
-
The
insurance Excess is 1.200 €. In case of vehicle
theft due to the client’s (or anyone in the client’s
party’s) negligence, the customer responsible for
the value of the vehicle as of the time of vehicle pick
up.
-
In
case of theft or break-in you must immediately inform
the local police as well as the McRent Station. A police
report has to be provided to McRent.
-
Please
note: The vehicle may be equipped with an
electronic GPS. You agree that this equipment may be
used to locate the vehicle.
-
McRent
Premium Class vehicles (Premium Standard / Premium Plus
/ Premium Luxury) are
not allowed to travel to the UEFA European Championship.
Security deposit / Refundable bond
The security deposit of €1200 must be paid at the start of a rental.
Refunded if the vehicle is returned in a proper condition and after the final
settlement of the rental contract by McRent HQ.
Winter
Tyres - New Legal Requirements in Germany
According to new legal requirements in Germany
it is mandatory to use winter tyres for rentals
starting / ending between November 1 and March 31 .

Liability and Comprehensive Insurance Protection
The renter bears the costs of any damage that occurs
during the rental period while using the vehicle in accordance
with the contract up to €1,200 per
case of damage.
If the damage is caused by
intent or gross negligence, especially if the renter was
unable to drive due to the consumption of drugs or alcohol,
the liability limitation does not apply. The same applies
to any damage caused by not observing traffic sign 265 (maximum
vehicle height on a road). Despite the agreed limitation
of liability, the renter is moreover fully liable for any
damage caused by failure to observe the vehicle dimensions
(vehicle height and width), by improper loading and unloading
and by the load or by driving backwards without being directed.
The renter is liable for any
damages claimed by a third party against him/her or against
McRent that the renter has caused to a third party during
the use of the object of rental. The renter is liable for
all fees, levies, fines, and punishments that are imposed
on the lessor in connection with the use of the vehicle unless
they are caused by fault of the lessor.
Authorised Drivers
The vehicle may only be driven by the renter himself/herself and by the drivers
specified in the rental contract.
Substitute Vehicle
In case the reserved vehicle cannot be made available at the rental station,
the lessor reserves the right to provide a vehicle that is comparable in
size and equipment or bigger. That will not cause any additional rental costs
for the renter. If a smaller vehicle is offered and accepted by the renter,
the price difference of both vehicles is reimbursed. If the provision of
a bigger vehicle causes higher ancillary costs, such as ferry charges and
tolls or operating costs, such costs are to be borne by the renter.
Trips Abroad
It is possible to make trips abroad within Europe. Any trips to East European
countries are subject to the lessor's prior approval. Trips to any war and
unstable zones are forbidden.
Please note: No Travel to Russia is allowed.

Express Cards
American Express Cards are accepted at the following depots: Berlin, Dortmund,
Dusseldorf (Mulheim), Frankfurt, Hamburg, Isny, Leipzig, Mannheim,
Stuttgart.

Shortening of Rental Period:
If a renter shortens their hire period by more than a week - it may be treated as a cancellation of the whole booking and a re-booking. This depends on when the amendment takes place and how many days of hire are being cancelled. Please ensure you always have travel insurance in place.
